My New Chapter; Private Practice!

Many of you may know me as your La Leche League Leader, or from my 10 years of working as a Lactation Consultant in two of the top teaching hospitals in Kansas City. Starting in 2009 at The University of Kansas Hospital and my final 8 years being at St Luke’s Hospital on The Plaza. I gained an incredible amount of knowledge, skills and experience working with the tiniest of babies, all the way to the biggest of babies, toddlers and children. Many of these families I have been honored to see grow from 1 child to many children.

My work in lactation has never been a job. It is my passion, something that powers my engine and makes my heart beat. I have an internal drive to help women find the joy I found, find the power in themselves, and know the accomplishment that can come from learning how to trust ourselves, our bodies and our babies.

I am beyond excited to start this new chapter! I am also humbled by the greatness, brains and just darn phenomenal, brilliant colleagues that have surrounded me the last 10 years. These people; nurses, physicians, social workers, specialists, support staff, leaders, and the very families themselves, they have shaped me. They have shared their wisdom, shared their stories, and helped to nurture me into who I am today. For that, I am so thankful to them. Many of these people have now become family and my dear friends!

So here I go! Honored to be doing the work I do, and ready to be 100% devoted to families that need help outside of the hospital setting! I have heard you, and your call, and I'm answering, and you'll see me on your doorstep.
